BRANDT'S CORMORANT: AN EMBLEM OF MONTEREY'S COASTAL CHARISMA.

Brandt’s Cormorant, is a coastal seabird found along the Pacific coast of North America. A frequently spotted species with its sleek black plumage and long, hooked bill, and it is adept at diving to capture fish. During Breeding Season Brandt’s Cormorants get into colonies on rocky cliffs and islands, this species also displays a neon blue gular pouch which is one of the rare blue colors we see in nature.
